Brass dial shelf clock, 1780-1794.

Mahogany wall clock. Top section with a molded cornice, a pierced and scrolled crest, and two brass-urn-and-spire finials, a scrolled skirt with a diamond pendant drop, and a glazed door with a bell-shaped opening outlined by narrow pierced fretwork. Bottom section with an ogee and ovolo molded cornice, chamfered front corners and cove and ovolo molding at the bottom. Circular brass dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, rope twist border at the outer edge. Inside the chapter ring there is an engraved seconds dial, a calendar aperture, engraved ornament and the inscription "Simon Willard." One day movement.
